Technical reel 09
Here’s a selection of some of my tools for 3dsMax and Fusion, I got some new ones for Nuke now that I’m probably going to show soon :)
The big bad Digger!
Here’s something I did last year, sorry boot crappy youtube quality, so check the pics below for all the detail.
Aftermath, more destruction huh?
Head modeling……
More explosions…..
Here’s something I played around with in 2008, its a combination of 3dsmax and Fusion. Projections, camera move and secondary effects are done in Fusion while the hero fx elements are done in max with Thinking Particles and FumeFX. Single frame from DLSR and just the usual projection and particle fetishism…
OneCall – Commercials 2006
Here’s two commercials I did while at Bug in 2006, I co-directed it together with Aslak Helgesen. I also did the lighting/rendering/comp and FX. Originally in Norwegian, these are the dubbed english versions.
It was featured on CGTalk, 3dTotal, CgNetworks and the montly DVD magazine Stash.
Chinon 8mm camera
Did this old 8mm camera in max a few years ago (2006), still got the real camera around somewhere..
Hdri Tonemapper for Fusion
I made a tonemapper for Fusion last year in c++ using different algorithms described below

Features
-gTonemap – HDRI tonemapper
-Fully multithreaded
-Two algorithms :
-Simple; A fast global tonemapping algorithm (L = Y / (Y + 1))
-Advanced, Based on the white paper “Comprehensive Fast Tone Mapping for High Dynamic Range Image Visualization”
-Production tested
-Free :)
Download the plugin here along with the example file (x86 windows, fusion 5.3 and Fusion 6)
. AcknowledgementsThanks to Sven Neve at House of Secrets for debugging and algorithm help and big thanks to Christoffer Hulusjö for development help. Thanks to whoever made the HDRI image used as a sample. And thanks to J Duan, G. Qiu and M. Chen for the white paper algorithm.
